KING JAMES BIBLE - 1640 Barker Printing of the King James Version (KJV), known as the last and best of the "Black Letter" editions, printed in London, was the official Bible of the Church of England - the "Anglican Church" - for almost four centuries. Missing only the general title page (see note at end), this has been re-covered in tan suede, with applied gilt label, red stained edges (possibly trimmed). Has the geneology of the Wright family of Stafford inked inside the front cover. 11 1/2" x 17" x 4 1/2". Contents are near fine.
