1799 MILITIA REPORT - "Return of Officers Elected to Fill the Vacancies in the Sixth Division of the Militia of Massachusetts, July 1st, 1799, signed by Andrew P. Fernald, Lt. Col. (Later Brigadier General). Six entries of men from Berwick and Kittery (now Maine). 7 3/4" x 12 3/4". Good condition. From the Maine Geneology archives: "ANDREW PEPPERRELL FERNALD, Captain. Was appointed Adjutant, Jan. 9, 1777, of Col. John Frost''s regiment of Massachusetts State Troops, on the Hudson River; honorably discharged in March, 1777. Commanded a company of Massachusetts state soldiers at Cloverack on the Hudson River, from July 6, 1780, to Sept. 22, 1780, when he was discharged. He was commissioned Adjutant, April 29, 1776, of the Second Regiment of York County militia. Promoted to Captain, June 23, 1780. Promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, Oct. 1, 1789, same regiment, and to Brigadier General, May 4, 1800; commanding First Brigade York County Militia. He was born, Feb. 26, 1753, at Kittery, son of Dennis and Sarah (Frost) Fernald; married, Dec. 24, 1778, to Martha Shapleigh; lived in that part of Kittery, now Eliot, on Tan Pit Hill, near or on the farm now occupied by his grandson of same name. Died there, May 18, 1821; had a large family of children. Wife, Martha, died at Eliot, Nov. 27, 1819, aged sixty years."

2) Buyers are to pay GP&S (or other shipper) directly for their services. Any damage or delivery issues (regardless of any assistance offered by TPAG) are between the buyer and GP&S or other shipper chosen by the buyer.
3) Shipping will occur after all payments have been made. The shipper will have the most up-to-date shipping and tracking information.
4) Shipments will be insured for the full purchase price unless other coverage is requested.
5) Customers may make their own arrangements with a shipper other than GP&S; however, there may be sales tax implications (see "Sales Tax" section). Your items will be released for shipping once full payment is received.
6) Items left at TPAG for more than 30 days after the date of the auction will be subject to a storage fee of $10 per day/per item unless prior arrangements have been made.
7) The inability to find an acceptable shipping option is NOT a reason for non-payment of an item's full purchase price.
8) TPAG will not alter any catalog descriptions, or declare less than the full purchase price on any international customs paperwork. All international customs documents and costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
